As many as 20 persons have been booked under National Security Act (NSA) on charges of black marketing of Remdesivir vials while another man has been booked under NSA for black marketing oxygen cylinders. Those engaged in black marketing of Remdesivir injections and oxygen are being dealt with stringent action, a communique from MP Department of Publicity said on Friday. None engaged in such heinous acts will be spared, affirmed Chouhan. Of those slapped with NSA on charges of black marketing Remdesivir injections, nine hailed to Indore, eight to Ujjain, two from Jabalpur and one from Gwalior. A single case also has been lodged under NSA over black marketing of oxygen cylinders, it added further. Drug inspectors have been given necessary instructions in this regard and efforts are being made to ensure that essential drugs are not sold beyond MRP, said the statement. Supply and distribution of Remdesivir vials is being monitored properly and institutional distribution is being opted in the state to ensure that patients get the vials in hassle-free manner. To add, ten cases of Remdesivir black marketing have also been reported in Bhopal but NSA has not been slapped on offenders as of now. Bus services suspended to UP, CG, Maha and Raj till May 15.
