Illegally transported 700 boxes of liquor seized in Indore

To control crime in Indore city, under the guidance of senior officers, Crime Branch Indore Police is continuously arresting the accused in the cases related to illegal liquor smuggling and illegal drugs in the city. In the same sequence, the crime branch team had received information from the informer that a truck loaded with illegal liquor (beer) was going to leave Banganga area from Ujjain district via Indore city. On the information of the informer, the crime branch and the police station immediately acted as per the plan. Banganga police cordoned off the accused (1) Hemant Sitton, resident of Universal Colony, Pithampur Dhar, (2) Kunal Pal Rahwal, resident of Gauhar Nagar, Pardeshipura, Indore. Total 700 boxes and 8400 bulk liters of illicit liquor and trucks (total price of Mashrooka around Rs 60 lakh) were recovered from the possession of the accused.

Total 700 boxes and 8400 bulk liters of illicit liquor and trucks (total price of Mashrooka around Rs 60 lakh) were recovered from the possession of the accused. While interrogating the accused, it was revealed that there was a plan to smuggle illegal liquor into Indore city, in which the accused had hidden the illegal liquor inside the truck from Ujjain by using a generator box, so that it looked as if a generator was kept inside the truck. And can be smuggled easily. Advance legal action is being taken against both the accused on the basis of investigation by registering the crime under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act at Banganga police station.
