Taking preventive action, Aishbagh police have arrested Babu Khan alias Mastan and has been sent under judicial custody. Due to fear of disturbing the peace, an FIR was filed against him in the ACP court under Section 107, 116 (3) in April last year. According to the police, to maintain peace in the area, on the complaint of the people an FIR was presented in the court of ACP Jahangirabad on April, 15, 2023 against Babu Khan alias Mastan, resident of Bagh Umrao Dulha Aishbagh. Notice/summons/bailable warrant was issued by ACP Court to Babu alias Mastan to appear in the court. An arrest warrant was issued on January 2 after failing to appear in court. The accused was to be arrested and presented in court by February 12 and during vehicle checking on February 10, police had received information that Babu Mastan Bagh was roaming near Madina Masjid located in Umrao Dulha. Police surrounded and arrested Babu Mastan. Presented in ACP court on Saturday, from where he has been sent to jail. Babu Mastan promotes gambling and betting in the area. There are 14 crimes registered against him including the Gambling Act. Babu Mastans wife has been a councilor from Aishbagh area. Meanwhile on Sunday night, a 23-year-old youth died after his bike was hit by an unknown vehicle near village Dobra, he suffered a serious head injury in the accident, due to which he died on the spot. According to the police, Sonu Meena used to work in a hardware shop located in Parvaliya area and was going home from work on Sunday evening and during which bike was hit by a vehicle which caused his death.
