Chief minister administers oath for conservation

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav extended his greetings to the people of the state on the festival of Ganga Dussehra, highlighting it as an auspicious occasion. The Madhya Pradesh government dedicated the period from Environment Day on June 5th to Ganga Dussehra on June 16th for the conservation and promotion of historical heritage sites like the Chopra step wells, as well as various water sources including rivers, wells, ponds, and waterfalls. Yadav expressed his happiness at the success of the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, which saw the participation of over 6 lakh people and an investment exceeding Rs 4000 crore for water conservation efforts. Yadav said this during an event held at the Modi Ka Chopra archaeological site in Ujjain, part of the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan. During the event, he administered oath to attendees, emphasizing the importance of conserving water sources and planted saplings to convey a message of environmental protection.
