55 bulk litres of hand-made liquor seized in Ujjain

Under the direction of Collector  Ujjain  Neeraj Kumar Singh and guidance of Assistant Excise Commissioner  Rajnarayan Soni and under the leadership of ADEO Vijay Meda,  information was received from the informer in Circle Khachrod that illegal liquor is going to come from Ratlam-Khachrod Bypass Road Village - Palana Chauraha. On the basis of information, the Excise raid team waited for the vehicle to arrive. A TVS Axle Super Heavy Duty motorcycle number MP-13 DZ-6001 was seen coming from Khachrod. When it was stopped and duly searched, 55 bulk liters of hand-made liquor was recovered in a blue cane  The driver Bapu Singh Panwar, resident of Palna, police station Khachrod was arrested and the liquor was taken into possession. Due action was taken on the spot. Since the quantity of liquor was more than 50 bulk liters, action was taken against the accused under section 34(1)A and 34(2) of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act. The accused was sent to jail in judicial custody. The market value of the seized liquor and vehicle was estimated to be Rs 21000.
