Two youths molested a girl and assaulted her brother at Minal Residency area late in the night on Wednesday. Two neighbouring youths entered a girls flat in Bhopals posh colony Minal Residency and when the girls brother tried to remove them out of the house they started to scuffle him. When the girl came to rescue her, they molested her. The victim informed Dial 100 and later when the security guard arrived, both the youths ran away. The incident took place around 1 on Wednesday night. On Thursday afternoon, the accused Shivam Sharma and Abhinav Tripathi were arrested by the police from Awadhpuri. They were hiding in a friends flat. Abhinav is a BBA student while Shivam is a BE student. Earlier, after the incident, the police had said that the accuseds flat was found locked. However, in a video it is clearly visible that both the accused are standing with a policeman and when Dial 100 van reached the spot, both were present there. The police have registered a case under various sections including molestation and have started further action. The broker who got the flat for the accused has also been questioned. Ayodhya Nagar police station SHO Mahesh Lillare said, The 20-year-old girl lives with her cousin in Minal Residency. She is doing B.Tech from a private college. The accused live in the flat next to hers. They have an old dispute with the girls brother. On Wednesday night around 1.30 am, both of them entered the flat to beat her. The girl reached the police station to register a complaint about the incident. There was no female police officer present here as it was late night. A female police officer was called by calling the control room. It took them about one and a half hours to arrive. The FIR could be registered at around 3.30 in the night.
