Pediatric oncology nursing quiz organized at AIIMS

The Department of Pediatrics successfully organized a series of activities throughout September to raise awareness about childhood cancer and enhance the skills of healthcare workers. As part of the global observance of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, these initiatives aimed to improve the quality of care provided to young cancer patients. On Tuesday, the Pediatric Hematology Oncology Division of the Department of Pediatrics held a Pediatric Oncology Nursing Quiz for nursing officers and senior nursing officers across departments. The quiz was conducted on the Kahoot platform and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the nursing staff. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh lauded the efforts of the participants, saying, "This quiz is an excellent example of how we are constantly upgrading the knowledge and skills of our healthcare workers. The active participation of our nursing officers reflects their dedication to continuous learning and their commitment to providing the best care to children battling cancer. The role of nursing staff in pediatric cancer care is invaluable, and their dedicated service is greatly appreciated." Prof. Shikha Malik, Head of the Department of Pediatrics, also congratulated the winners and acknowledged the significant role nursing staff play in the care and recovery of children with cancer. "The commitment of our nursing staff plays a vital role in the treatment and rehabilitation of children fighting cancer," she said. The quiz concluded with an exciting announcement of the winners. Mr. Dilip Kumar, a Nursing Officer, secured the First Prize, while Mr. Hitesh, also a Nursing Officer, claimed the Second Prize. The Third Prize was awarded to Mr. Vikram, a Senior Nursing Officer. The event was attended by all faculty members, resident doctors, nursing staff, and supporting personnel from the Department of Pediatrics. The initiative reinforced AIIMS Bhopals commitment to providing comprehensive and compassionate care for children affected by cancer.
