The Holkar Stadium in Indore was put on high alert after an email threatening a bomb blast was received by the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) on Friday. The sender of the email claimed that the stadium would be targeted in retaliation for Indias "Operation Sindoor" by the armed forces. However, after extensive searches by authorities, the threat was determined to be a hoax. According to Tukoganj Police Station in-charge, Jitendra Singh Yadav, the threatening email was sent to the official email address of the MPCA. The email, written in English, stated that a bomb would be detonated at the Holkar Stadium in response to the military operation. The police immediately mobilized and dispatched four teams along with a bomb squad to thoroughly check the premises of the stadium. The police conducted a meticulous search for over five hours, but no suspicious items or explosives were found at the stadium. "No suspicious material was discovered in the Holkar Stadium," said Yadav. The search was carried out with the utmost urgency, as authorities took all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the venue, which often hosts large crowds during cricket matches. Following the incident, the police launched an investigation into the origin of the email, collaborating with the cyber squad to trace the sender. Authorities have also warned that legal action will be taken against the person responsible for the hoax. Preliminary investigations suggest that the email may have been a "copy-paste" job intended to cause mischief rather than a legitimate threat. his hoax bomb threat is not an isolated case. In recent months, there have been several similar incidents in which fake emails were sent threatening bomb attacks on various public places, including the Indore airport, multiple bank branches, hospitals, and schools. Authorities are working to tighten security protocols and track down individuals responsible for spreading such threats, in an effort to prevent further incidents. The investigation is ongoing, and officials have assured the public that every measure will be taken to ensure the safety and security of citizens in the city. Meanwhile, the Holkar Stadium has resumed normal activities, with no further disruptions anticipated.
