With cybercrime on the rise, Indore Police is conducting awareness drives to help citizens stay alert and avoid falling victim to online fraud. As part of this campaign, the Cyber Crime Wing held an awareness workshop at HOTWAX Commerce on Monday. The session attended by a large group of IT professionals focused on practical tips on identifying and reporting online scams. The session was led by Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rajesh Dandotiya, who explained various forms of cyber fraud, financial scams, and social media-related offences. Participants were guided on how to file complaints through the national cybercrime helpline, the government portal, and Indore Polices own helpline. The importance of acting swiftly and staying informed was strongly emphasised. Dandotiya said that as professionals working in a tech-driven environment, attendees must remain cautious and aware. He warned that while technology is advancing rapidly, the risks are also evolving. Only those who stay alert can protect themselves and help others. The police distributed informative pamphlets and stickers to the participants, encouraging them to share what they learned and promote cyber safety within their networks.
