A state-of-the-art swimming pool and auditorium worth Rs 20 crore will soon come up near the Central Sanskrit University in Bhopals Govindpura area, Minister Krishna Gaur said Monday. Krishna Gaur, Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare (Independent Charge), made the announcement during a field visit to Govindpura. She said her ongoing interaction with locals was helping resolve civic issues on the spot. Speaking to residents of Rajat Vihar Colony, Gaur discussed several infrastructure concerns and announced that streetlights would be installed from Danish Nagar to BHEL Sangam Square. She also ordered the addition of rooms at the local community hall. She informed residents that both the swimming pool and auditorium projects had received official sanction and construction would begin soon. She personally inspected the site and told officials to start work without delay and complete it on schedule. In Agarwal Nagar, Gaur addressed complaints about sewage issues and damaged roads. She asked municipal officers to treat these as top priority and take immediate action. At Kunjan Nagar Phase 1, she met residents and directed officials to fix sewer lines, tarmac roads, develop the park, expand the community hall and extend the Narmada water line. In Surendra Garden Colony, she assured prompt action on demands such as a boundary wall, drain cleaning and removal of illegal encroachments. Gaur also reviewed the new vegetable market in Bagsewania and instructed that it be inaugurated on 2 June, the birth anniversary of former CM Babulal Gaur. Residents of New Bagsewania, Amrai, Emerald Park and Saket Nagar highlighted various civic problems. Gaur assured quick resolution and directed departments to act swiftly. The visit was attended by local councillors, party workers, officials and hundreds of residents who voiced their concerns directly to the minister.
