Second bomb threat in three days empties Indores Holkar Stadium

  • | Wednesday | 14th May, 2025

Holkar Stadium in Indore was evacuated again on Monday after MPCA received a fresh bomb threat, just three days after a similar hoax caused panic. Police said the email warning prompted immediate clearance of the stadium as a safety measure. Bomb squad personnel thoroughly searched the premises but found nothing suspicious during the operation. The message was received by the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association, echoing the content and tone of a threat sent on May 9, which also proved to be a hoax. Tukoganj police station in-charge Jitendra Singh Yadav said a full search was launched after MPCA alerted authorities. The stadium was evacuated and secured immediately, he told media outlets. Police arrested one person earlier in connection with hoax threats, though it is unclear whether that individual has links to the Holkar Stadium emails sent this week. Investigators are now working to trace the source of the latest threat and assess if a wider plan exists to cause panic in public institutions across the city.
