BMC seals 4 unauthorised Marriage Gardens

  • | Thursday | 15th May, 2025

A day after a massive fire erupted at a marriage garden on the city outskirts, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday sealed four venues operating without proper permits. Under the directive of Commissioner Harendra Narayan, the building permission branch, alongside health and encroachment teams, carried out an inspection at Lalghati. The inspection revealed that Crescent Club, Royal Marriage Garden, Turtle Island, and Green Valley were operating without the requisite permissions. Following this, municipal staff locked the premises after issuing prior notices to the operators. The inspections on Tuesday also found Green City Marriage Garden to be the only one with valid operating permission. The corporation had previously warned the unauthorised gardens in 2024.
