In a gruesome act a 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped repeatedly by her 19-year-old brother over the past six months, with the crime only being discovered after doctors found her to be pregnant during treatment for severe stomach pain. Police have arrested the accused brother after the victim revealed he had been assaulting her during afternoons when their laborer parents were away. According to the police, the teenagers family includes her 19-year-old elder brother besides her parents. Two days ago, the victim was vomiting along with stomach pain. When her condition worsened, the family took her to the hospital for treatment. After check-up the doctors told them that she was pregnant. After this, the family took the teenager home, where the victim told during counselling that her elder brother had raped her in the month of March and continued the ordeal for long by threatning her. In a separate incident in Ratibad, 51-year-old mechanic Kishore Sirsat committed suicide by hanging, with investigations revealing his long struggle with alcohol addiction that persisted despite his familys efforts to help him by changing residences. According to the police, Kishore Sirsat earlier lived in Sabri Nagar EWS multistorey building. He had a bad habit of drinking and he used to spend his entire days earnings on alcohol. The family thought that a change in environment would improve his habit, so he shifted to the Ratibad area. But he failed and continued having liquor. On Tuesday night, Kishores wife and son slept in the room while he went to sleep in the room on the terrace. The son woke up at around 2 oclock in the night, then he saw his father sleeping on the bed. It is estimated that the teenager committed suicide by hanging himself between 2 am and 5 am. The police said that Kishore committed suicide by making a noose from the railing of the stairs. After conducting the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family on Wednesday afternoon. No suicide note has been found behind the suicide. At present, the investigation of the case is going on.
