A 35-year-old man, Jitendra Yadav, took his own life on Saturday in Bhopals Karond area after his wife declined to reconcile with him. Jitendra, a private driver from Kokta Transport Nagar, hanged himself in his wifes rented room following another failed attempt to convince her to return to their marital home. According to Nishatpura police, the couple had been living separately for some time, with the wife residing in Karond along with their two children. Jitendra had made several attempts to patch things up, but all were unsuccessful. During his final visit, a minor argument broke out, after which the wife firmly refused to reunite. In a moment of despair, Jitendra hanged himself at the location. Police have registered a case and are investigating all possible angles. No suicide note was found at the scene. The body was released to the family after a postmortem conducted on Saturday. The tragic incident has drawn attention to the urgent need for marital counseling and mental health support services for individuals facing domestic crises. Local community members expressed shock over the event and called for greater awareness about depression and available counseling resources. Police continue their investigation into the case.
