Drug Abuse: Training program of master trainers organised

The state government is serious about the prevention of prohibited drugs in the state. In view of this, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given necessary guidelines to various departments to prevent misuse of prohibited drugs. In this sequence, the Home, Prison and Disaster Management Department has organized a program to train master trainers in Shaurya Auditorium, Doranda to spread awareness to prevent misuse of prohibited drugs. This training program is being organized from 20 May to 23 May 2025. The program was inaugurated by Principal Secretary of Home, Disaster and Management Department, Vandana Dadel. A training program for the master trainers of South Chotanagpur was held on Tuesday. A division wise one day training program is being organized from 20 May to 23 May 2025 to train the officials/employees of various departments/offices as master trainers for the successful conduct of awareness programs to prevent the misuse of prohibited drugs. In which the master trainers of South Chotanagpur on 20 May, North Chotanagpur on 21 May, Santhal Pargana on 22 May and Kolhan and Palamu divisions on 23 May will be trained. On the first day of the program, how to prevent people from consuming drugs and intoxicants, what are the possible treatments, health effects of drug abuse and law related information were given by experts. Also, it was told what measures can be taken at the local level to make awareness effective. What should be the role of SHG, NYKS, youth club and other institutions for de-addiction in the state? In the program, it was told how drug-addicted youth can be helped for de-addiction. Master trainers of various departments received training to make awareness successful for prevention of misuse of prohibited drugs. In which master trainers of School, Education and Literacy Department, Higher and Technical Education Department, Women, Child Development and Social Security Department, Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, Tourism, Art Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Jharkhand Police, Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society and Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department have received training.
