Guv and CM unveil newly built statue of Binod Bihari Mahto at BBMKU

Governor-cum-Chancellor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren today unveiled the statue of Binod Bihari Mahto, the leader, pioneer and guide of the state of Jharkhand, in the campus of Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University, Dhanbad. On this occasion, the Governor and Chief Minister paid homage to Binod Bihari Mahto by offering flowers to his statue. Addressing the statue unveiling ceremony, the Chief Minister said that this university established in the name of Binod Bihari Mahto is creating many new dimensions in a very short time. This university is progressing rapidly in the field of providing better education to the students. The CM said that in view of the geographical structure of Jharkhand, our government is taking several steps to provide maximum facilities to the people here. In this series, Binod Bihari Mahto University was established in Dhanbad district, so that the students here can get quality higher education in their own area. Today this university is adding to the beauty of the entire state. This university is doing a great job of shaping the future of the students here. He said that Jharkhand is the product of a movement. This is why this state is known by the name of martyrs. Our ancestors have played an important role in the formation of this state. In such a situation, we have been following the tradition of honouring our martyrs and agitators. In this series, many institutions have been named after the martyrs here. Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University of Dhanbad is also a symbol of this. The CM further said that many cities, villages, hamlets, mohallas and streets of the state are known by the name of martyrs. The statues of our martyrs and agitators installed at the squares and intersections here are enough to tell how important their contribution has been in the creation of this state. We are constantly taking steps towards establishing the works of our martyrs and agitators to honour them. The CM said that whether it is primary education or secondary or higher education. The positive results of the changes made by our government in the field of education in a very short time are being seen. A large number of students of CM School of Excellence have proved their talent by scoring more than 90 per cent marks in the board examination this year amidst limited resources. Efforts are being made to make many more such changes in the field of education. Efforts are constantly being made to increase the quality of education and remove its shortcomings. On this occasion, Minister Sudivya Kumar, MP Chandraprakash Choudhary, MLAs Mathura Prasad Mahto, Arup Chatterjee, Chandradev Mahto, Raj Sinha, Umakant Rajak, Jayamangal Singh, Shatrughan Mahto, Jairam Mahto, Chairperson of Jharkhand State Child Rights Protection Commission Baby Devi along with many other dignitaries including Vice Chancellor of Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University Dr. RK Singh and Deputy Commissioner of the district, Senior Superintendent of Police and many officials of the university and district administration and a large number of students were present.
