A violent altercation broke out between two groups late Sunday night outside the Shahi Darbar Ice Cream Parlor on Link Road, located near the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda. The incident occurred around 12:30 am and quickly escalated from a verbal dispute into a full-fledged street brawl involving more than a dozen individuals. Viral video footage circulating on social media shows chaotic scenes of people assaulting each other with kicks, punches, and sticks. Eyewitnesses reported that the fight began at the ice cream parlor, which was still operating at the time, and that the restaurant operator along with several staff members actively participated in the violence. According to police, night patrol units were dispatched immediately upon receiving information about the clash. However, by the time officers arrived, the altercation had already ended. No formal complaint has yet been filed by the opposing party involved in the fight. ACP TT Nagar, CS Pandey, stated, By the time the police reached the spot, the fight had stopped. Since the restaurant was found operating beyond permissible hours, we have initiated action against the operator under Section 188 of the IPC. Action under Section 151 has also been taken against employees involved in the physical assault. The ice cream parlor operator and several employees have been detained and taken to the police station for questioning. Authorities have begun an investigation to determine the cause of the dispute and identify all individuals involved in the violence. Police have urged the other party involved in the altercation to come forward with a complaint and any relevant information to aid the ongoing investigation.
