In a commendable initiative aimed at fostering youth leadership, Class 12 commerce topper Sahitya Sen was honored with the role of MLA for a Day on Thursday in Nagda tehsil. The event was spearheaded by BJP MLA Dr. Tej Bahadur Singh Chauhan, who sought to recognize academic excellence while providing a meritorious student a firsthand experience of public service responsibilities. Sahitya secured over 96% marks, topping the commerce stream in Nagda tehsil. In a ceremony marked by full protocol, he was welcomed to the MLA office, seated in the legislators chair, and entrusted with handling official duties for the day. During his tenure, Sahitya engaged directly with constituents, addressing their concerns with notable efficiency. Highlighting his leadership potential, he resolved an issue related to the Right to Education (RTE) scheme raised by a female student by promptly coordinating with the Block Resource Centre (BRC) officer and school authorities to ensure swift action. Sahitya also visited Berchha village, where he performed groundbreaking ceremonies for development projects valued over Rs 1 crore. He inaugurated facilities constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and school infrastructure schemes. The warm reception from local residents reflected the positive impact of recognizing young talent in community leadership. Emotional family members, including Sahityas mother and sister, expressed immense pride during the event. MLA Dr. Chauhan stated the initiatives purpose is to not only encourage young achievers but also demonstrate the capability of the younger generation to provide responsible and effective leadership when entrusted with opportunity.
