Police, Bajrang Dal warn gym owner against Muslim trainers

  • | Saturday | 31st May, 2025

A video circulating from Ayodhya Nagar shows police officers accompanied by Bajrang Dal activists warning a local gym owner against permitting Muslim trainers or trainees, despite the absence of any formal complaints from gym members. The police intervention was reportedly triggered by allegations that a Muslim trainer was interacting with Hindu women members. During the visit, officers inspected the trainers mobile phone but found no evidence to substantiate the claims. The video shows two policemen discussing the issue with the gym owner and staff, who cooperated by providing identity details of their employees. ACP MP Nagar Akshay Choudhary acknowledged awareness of the incident but refrained from commenting on the police officers controversial warning or their association with Bajrang Dal activists. Sources suggest that the Muslim trainer has since been removed from the gym, although the police have not officially confirmed this action. The incident has sparked concerns about bias and negligence by law enforcement, with reports indicating that senior officials are downplaying the matter. Civil rights groups have expressed alarm over the communal undertones and potential infringement of individuals rights.
