CM, Shivraj inaugurate development works in Sehore

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth Rs 113 crore 45 lakh 59 thousand. On this occasion, they distributed approval letters for several key welfare schemes, including PM Awas Yojana, Kalyani Pension, Family Assistance, Sambal, and the Divyang Marriage Promotion Scheme, benefiting many residents of the district. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also announced an allocation of Rs 50 crore for ongoing development works within Sehore Municipality. Highlighting the historical importance of Sehore, he recalled the districts sacrifices during the 1857 freedom struggle, where 356 revolutionaries gave their lives. Dr. Yadav reaffirmed that the welfare schemes initiated during Chouhans tenure as Chief Minister will continue, including the Ladli Bahna Yojana, with the assistance amount raised to Rs 3,000. The CM further emphasized agricultural development in Sehore, promising that every farm in the district would soon have access to irrigation water. He also mentioned that Sehore is set to enter a new phase of development as part of the expanding Bhopal Metropolitan Region. Speaking about the broader progress in Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Yadav noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is advancing rapidly in development, with improvements in infrastructure, wheat procurement at Rs 2,600 per quintal, and an increase in the number of medical colleges from 30 to 50 within two years. He commended PM Modi for Indias global leadership, asserting that the country now confronts its enemies boldly, with the spirit of "Live and Let Live." Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan praised the continuous development in the country and state, which is being spearheaded by Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. He emphasized the importance of public participation in building a developed India and urged citizens to pledge their commitment to village development.   Minister Chouhan also stressed the need for water and electricity conservation, keeping surroundings clean, and promoting a drug-free society. He highlighted womens empowerment, particularly through initiatives like making more "Lakhpati Didis," as a priority. He informed the gathering that the Central Government has approved the construction of 7,85,356 houses under the PM Awas Yojana, at a cost of ?9,424.03 crore. A state-wide survey is underway to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive housing benefits.   The Union Minister also shared that ?6,263 crore has been allocated under MGNREGA for Madhya Pradesh. He further stated that agricultural scientists are reaching out to farmers directly, sharing profitable farming techniques and innovations to make agriculture a more viable business.   The event was attended by Sehore MLA Shri Sudesh Rai, Municipality President Shri Prince Rathore, Revenue Minister Shri Karan Singh Verma, Backward Class and District In-charge Minister Smt. Krishna Gaur, Budhni MLA Shri Ramakant Bhargava, Ashta MLA Shri Gopal Singh Engineer, Backward Class Commission Member Shri Sitaram Yadav, District Panchayat President Smt. Rachna Surendra Mewada, Janpad President Smt. Nawdi Bai, along with other public representatives and citizens.
