Legal literacy camps coach students on Rights

Two legal literacy camps were held at Unique Higher Secondary School and Gayatri Pre-School in Manpur on Monday to enhance legal awareness among students. Organised under the guidance of the District Legal Services Authority, Indore, and the Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Dr Ambedkar Nagar, separate camps were conducted at both institutions to educate students about their legal rights and duties. Judicial Magistrate Digha Aaron explained in detail the constitutional fundamental rights and duties, and shared key information about the POCSO Act, which protects children from sexual offences. She also spoke about the dangers of mobile misuse by children and encouraged students to refrain from cheating in exams. The session aimed to promote ethical behaviour and accountability. Magistrate Nilesh Multakar sensitised students on the concepts of good touch and bad touch, legal rights, traffic rules, and the availability of free legal services through authorised channels. The event saw enthusiastic participation from around 165 students, alongside the presence of school heads, teachers, and judicial staff.
