Naveen Patnaik to attend investment roadshow in New Delhi on September 12

BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to attend a roadshow in New Delhi on September 12 to invite investors for the second Make in Odisha conclave scheduled from November 11 to 15.State industries department is organizing the roadshow in collaboration with its industry partner Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) with an aim to showcase Odisha as a preferential investment destination . We expect participation of more than 300 companies in the event,” said an industries department official.Industries minister Ananta Das would hold one to one discussion with four to five industry bigwigs on September 11 while the department is in touch with leaders of the industry for meeting with Naveen. The detail list is yet to be finalized.The chief minister is also likely to attend another investment roadshow in Chennai on September 26.During the roadshow, Odisha would showcase investment opportunities in six focus sectors-- food processing and seafood, ancillary and downstream industries in metals sector, textiles, electronics system designing and manufacturing, chemicals, plastics and petrochemicals.Opportunities in some of the dedicated industrial zones like National Investment Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) at Kalingnagar, food processing park at Khordha, textile and apparel parks at Ramdaspur in Cuttack and Dhamnagar in Bhadrak, Aluminium park at Angul and Plastics park at Paradip will be highlighted during the roadshow.Naveen, during an investment roadshow in Mumbai met, industry captains like Mukesh Ambani, Anand Mahindra, Adi Godrej, Kishore Biyani, Deepak Mehta and Ram Narain--many of them have assured to attend the Make in Odisha conclave.
