IPICOL organizes awareness workshops on business reforms

BHUBANESWAR: State government’s investment promotion agency-- Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha IPICOL ) has conducted workshops on ease of doing business in Odisha in various districts.The workshops aimed to create awareness on state’s investment climate and business reforms undertaken during past several years were held during February-March in all 30 districts. Local entrepreneurs and industry executives attended these workshops in large numbers.An official statement said the workshops highlighted business reforms and initiatives like state project monitoring croup and single window portal for business facilitation, to approve various clearances and to monitor corporate social responsibility spending.“As an extension of the district-wise meetings with industries in Bhubaneswar under the Industry Care initiative, we felt the need for direct engagement with a larger pool of industries on-ground at each of the district headquarters,” said state industries secretary Sanjeev Chopra Chopra said such workshops also helped the industries department to understand first hand issues and concerns of industries and devise solutions accordingly.
