Odisha elections 2019: Naveen Patnaik likely to file papers for Hinjili today

BHUBANESWAR: BJD president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik is expected to file nomination for Hinjili assembly constituency on Wednesday at Chatrapur. This will be the fifth consecutive time that Naveen will be contesting from Hinjili, under Aska Lok Sabha constituency. He will be the first from the ruling party members to file nomination for the elections scheduled across four phases in April.Naveen, who will also contest from Bijepur assembly seat under Bargarh Lok Sabha segment for the first time, is scheduled to file his nomination for the second seat on March 25 at Padampur. Both Hinjili and Bijepur will go to polls on April 18 - the second phase - the last date of nomination for which is March 26.Ganjam's BJD district unit president and former minister Pradeep Panigarhy has asked all the MPs, MLAs and office-bearers of the party to attend Naveen's nomination process.
