Diesel price cross Rs 100 mark in Odisha after Rajasthan

Diesel price in Malkangiri stands at Rs 101.12 and Rs 100.46 in Koraput after a hike of 26 paise on Tuesday.

The common man was already carrying the weight of an ailing economy amid the lockdown, now the continuous increase in the prices of petrol-diesel is the final nail in the coffin.

After Rajasthan, now diesel has crossed the Rs 100 per litre mark in the Malkangiri and Koraput districts of Odisha.

Diesel price in Malkangiri stands at Rs 101.12 and Rs 100.46 in Koraput after a hike of 26 paise on Tuesday. In the capital Bhubaneswar, the price of petrol has gone up to Rs 98.27 and diesel to Rs 96.15 per litre.

Fuel prices have once again hiked on Tuesday after remaining stable on Monday. The price of petrol has increased by 28 paise and that of diesel by 26 paise per litre. After Tuesday`s increase, now the price of petrol per litre in Delhi is Rs 97.50 and diesel is Rs 88.23.

Petrol in Mumbai has increased by Rs 103.63 and diesel by Rs 95.72 per litre today. Today, the price of petrol per litre in Kolkata is Rs 97.38 and the price of diesel is Rs 91.08. The new prices of petrol and diesel in Chennai today are Rs 98.65 and Rs 92.83 per litre respectively.

Fuel prices have been hiked 28 times since the announcement of the election results on 3 May. The prices have been hiked on 28 days, while it remained stable on 25 days. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 7.18 per litre in this period itself, while diesel has also become costlier by Rs 7.45 per litre.
