People travelling to Odisha are no longer required to submit a negative report of COVID or a complete vaccination certificate. Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) P.K. Jena has issued an order to withdraw the Old rules.

Earlier on May 30, following a sudden spike in the number of COVID cases, the Naveen Patnaik government banned people coming to Odisha from other states.

Later, the government had imposed some restrictions to bring the corona infection under control.  It was mandatory for the person coming from outside to show a negative antigen, RTPCR report or complete covid vaccine certificate.

Odisha government has also given some relaxation in the rules related to the lockdown. There is no weekend shutdown in the state from August 1. However, there will still be a weekend lockdown in these three urban centers of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri.

Except these, shops will be able to open daily in all other places. The time limit of night curfew has also been reduced. Night curfew will now remain in all areas from 8 pm to 6 am. Right now it is 6 pm to 6 am
