‘Faculties must liberate themselves from silos’

Inclusive education is an ocean in which the ship has lost its direction but we have to look out for the ship and anchor it in its right place, said Vice-Chancellor of Sambalpur University Prof Bidhubhusan Mishra while talking in a seminar on Inclusive Education: Issues, Challenges and Solution organized by Paschimanchala newspaper.   Editor of the newspaper Dr Surama Mishra was of the view that children must be grown in an atmosphere of love and affection.   Faculties must liberate themselves from silos, said Regional Director, IIMC, Dhenkanal Dr Mrinal Chatterjee.   Registrar, Sambalpur University, Dr Nruparaj Sahu said education teaches us to change our lifestyles. Editor, MBC Television Dr Ashok Panda was of the opinion that self -confidence and positive attitude will resolve all problems as mental pollution is more dangerous than pollution of nature. President, Kalahandi Siksha Vikas Parishad, Prof Gopabandhu Behera said lack of required number of teachers in educational institutions is a paradox.   Principal, Municipal College, Rourkela Dr Sanatan Pradhan referred to the National Education Policy of 2020 which provides for aptitude-based education. He advocated for education up to 5th Standard in mother tongue. Baidyanath Mishra chaired.
