A new website of the Western Odisha Development Council (WODC) has been launched by its Chairman AsitTripathy. One can directly access the portal by clicking wodcportal.odisha.gov.in in the browser. First, after clearing the cache and browser history in Google Chrome, one can log in and reach the new portal. Now all the information of WODC is available on this portal. The WODC has been working for the development of 11 districts of the western part of the State. Tripathy said information about western Odisha projects completion, implementation, detailed information about various projects, budget of the council, success stories, etc., can be obtained from the website. In the recent State Budget, the WODCs budget has been increased to Rs 500 crore for the financial year 2024-25. Through the council, the State Government completes projects in western Odisha districts for industrial development, agricultural prosperity, restoration of historical sites, beautification of tourist spots, construction of cement concrete (CC) roads in rural areas, construction of modern multipurpose auditoriums in cities, development of dams and surrounding beautification.
