Pbi varsity V-C hears out agitating students

Patiala, February 21Punjabi University Vice-Chancellor Prof BS Ghuman today met the agitating students of five-year integrated course in economics and discussed the problems being faced by them. Prof Ghuman assured them that they would not face any problem at any stage as far as nomenclature of their courses was concerned. The students were agitating against the university alleging that the university was charging them for a professional course whereas their five-year course was equivalent to a normal bachelor’s and master’s course. They further alleged that their course, which started in session 2014-15, was not recognised by the University Grants Commission, which is a threat to the future of students.
