The matter was sent to a special court, which directed a medical board be constituted.Accordingly, the court directed the doctors to conduct a medical examination and submit the report in the juvenile court. When the girl's menstrual cycle stopped, she told her mother that she had become pregnant after being raped by the accused.

The accused was arrested on the statement of the girl's parents after she was medically examined.Parents of the girl had alleged the boy had been living in their neighbourhood a few years back and knew them. Later, he moved somewhere else. The complaint had said the boy's mother had died and when his father would go for work, he would take the girl to his house and rape her. When the girl's menstrual cycle stopped, she told her mother that she had become pregnant after being raped by the accused. She took the girl to a hospital and informed the police.
