Fake checker gets ticket to lock-up

Identified as Naresh Kumar, the impostor was handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP), Saharanpur, UP.He was produced in a Saharanpur court on Thursday that remanded him in judicial custody, said Saharanpur GRP SHO inspector Ashok Sisodia Sisodia said Naresh was caught by Praveen Kumar , deputy chief ticket inspector of Ambala division , while he was checking the S-3 coach of Chandigarh-Lucknow Express (12232) on Tuesday night. The train departs from Chandigarh station at 9.10pm. After it crossed Ambala at 10.34pm, Naresh started checking the passengers. Naresh had boarded the train from Chandigarh.Sisodia said, “Naresh was not wearing the uniform and Rs 2,200, which the passengers claimed he had collected as fine, were recovered from him.
