One nabbed with 30 banned drug vials

This year, cops have recovered over 4,000 banned drug vials from drug peddlers from different parts of the city. The accused failed to produce any bill and permit of carrying the drug vials before cops. CHANDIGARH: Crime branch of UT police have arrested a drug peddler with banned injectable vials on Friday night. He was booked under the NDPS Act and arrested.During interrogation, the accused said he used to sell the drug vials at Rs 250 to 300 to addicts. Police said the crime branch team was patrolling near Dhanas Raod to PGI light point and when they saw accused Mehraj coming on his foot from Dhanas side.

CHANDIGARH: Crime branch of UT police have arrested a drug peddler with banned injectable vials on Friday night. Police produced him before local court and sent him to judicial custody on Saturday.Police said the accused has been identified as Mehraj, a resident of Khudda Lahora village. Police said the crime branch team was patrolling near Dhanas Raod to PGI light point and when they saw accused Mehraj coming on his foot from Dhanas side. On seeing the police party, he tuned around and tried to flee. However, he was intercepted by the cops and nabbed. While frisking him, police seized 15 injections of Buprenorphine and 15 injections of Pheniramine Meleate drugs from his possession. The accused failed to produce any bill and permit of carrying the drug vials before cops. He was booked under the NDPS Act and arrested.During interrogation, the accused said he used to sell the drug vials at Rs 250 to 300 to addicts. Police produced the accused before the court and sent him in 14-day judicial custody. This year, cops have recovered over 4,000 banned drug vials from drug peddlers from different parts of the city.
