Now, as two lists of BJP's parliamentary candidates are out and Chandigarh candidate's name is in the waiting list, sources have confirmed that the survey report will play a vital role in the selection of the party's face from the city.According to sources, the survey team visited various areas in the city with questions related to local, national and international issues, government's role in resolving them, positives and negatives of the aspirants etc. "The survey company has covered all the angles and prepared a detailed report based on it. Now, it is up to the party's central leadership to take the final call in choosing the candidate," said an official."Winnability is the party's most essential criterion. As every seat is crucial for the party, a ground exercise has already been completed in Chandigarh to zero in on the winnable candidate," said a senior BJP leader of the party's central leadership in New Delhi.Meanwhile, the city's key LS poll aspirants from BJP - Kirron Kher , Sanjay Tandon and Satya Pal Jain - are going all out to get the ticket. However, Jain has openly said before the election committee that he is interested in contesting from Chandigarh if the party replaces Kher. Following his move, the contest is mainly between Kher and Tandon.
