Meeting on TB control held

Patiala, June 15A meeting on involvement of medical colleges in the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme was held at Government Medical College here today. Dr Avnish Kumar, Director, Research and Medical Education, Punjab, and Dr KK Aggarwal, Principal, GMC, Patiala, inaugurated the meeting which was attended by doctors from all eight medical colleges in the state. In his address, Dr Aggarwal said MBBS students stage Nukkad Natak outside Government Rajindra Hospital to make people aware of tuberculosis. Dr Sarit Sharma requested the medical colleges to conduct meetings regularly to update doctors about recent advances in TB control.
