Father-son duo dies in mishap

Ambala, July 13A man and his son died after the car they were travelling in was hit by another car near Kakru village in Ambala City here today. The deceased have been identified as Vineet and Dhairya Thareja (8), residents of Kaithal. While Vineet was driving the car, his son Dhairya, daughter Mehak and niece Pushti were sleeping on the rear seat. Around 1:30 am, as they reached near Kakru, a car hit their vehicle from the right side. A case has been registered under Sections 279 and 304-A of the IPC at the Baldev Nagar police station.

Ambala, July 13 A man and his son died after the car they were travelling in was hit by another car near Kakru village in Ambala City here today. The deceased have been identified as Vineet and Dhairya Thareja (8), residents of Kaithal. In her complaint to the police, Nisha Thareja, alleged that they were on their way to Kaithal after attending a wedding in Zirakpur, Punjab. While Vineet was driving the car, his son Dhairya, daughter Mehak and niece Pushti were sleeping on the rear seat. Around 1:30 am, as they reached near Kakru, a car hit their vehicle from the right side. Vineet lost control of the car and rammed it into a wall. Vineet and Dhairya had sustained head injuries. They were rushed to the Civil Hospital, Ambala City, from where they were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32, Chandigarh, where they died while undergoing treatment.The car driver had managed to flee from the spot. A case has been registered under Sections 279 and 304-A of the IPC at the Baldev Nagar police station. — TNS
