Mohali admn sounds high alert on rising Ghaggar water

Tribune news serviceMohali, July 16Seeing rising water level in Ghaggar river, high alert has been sounded in Mohali district by local administration.
Today, to assess water levels in Ghaggar river, Mohali Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan today inspected vulnerable points of the river in Mohali district.
The DC, who was accompanied by his team of officials of different departments, visited several spots including village Bhankharpur, Tiwana and Nagla in Dera Bassi area to see the water levels in the river.
All officials in the area including 'patwaris'have been put on high alert.
“The officials have been asked to ensure that the residents of villages do not have to face any sort of problem in the rainy season,” said Dayalan.
