Graft: DSP Meena moves yet another plea in court

The case will now be heard on July 22 when arguments on framing of charges will be held. He has moved about 40 applications earlier as well and it has delayed the framing of charges. Four persons were arrested by the CBI on August 13, 2015, on graft charge. All four were allegedly caught taking Rs 40 lakh as the first installment of the bribe money.

Chandigarh, July 18 Another application was moved by the defence against framing of charges against Economic Offences Wing (EOW) DSP RC Meena and others in a graft case registered in 2015. The court has issued a notice to the CBI to file its reply. The case will now be heard on July 22 when arguments on framing of charges will be held. He contended that they never accepted the said money. And they were not involved in the case. He has moved about 40 applications earlier as well and it has delayed the framing of charges. Four persons were arrested by the CBI on August 13, 2015, on graft charge. According to the CBI, all four were allegedly putting pressure on a family in Mohali and had demanded a bribe of Rs 95 lakh from it for not arresting the members in a criminal case. All four were allegedly caught taking Rs 40 lakh as the first installment of the bribe money.
