SCHOOL NOTESTo spread awareness about the population explosion, students of Class V organised a special class assembly on ‘World Population Day’. Students presented different activities such as poem, slogans, speech and play on the issue of rising population. Shishu Niketan, ChandigarhShishu Niketan Public School, Sector 43, Chandigarh, organised a campus visit to the Indian School of Business (ISB), Mohali, for the commerce students of Class XII to give them an insight into career prospects. Students went through the ISB campus to see the infrastructure and amenities at the institute. DAV Public, ChandigarhA rally was organised by students of Class VIII at Sukhna Lake to highlight the importance of water.

Shishu Niketan, Chandigarh Shishu Niketan Public School, Sector 43, Chandigarh, organised a campus visit to the Indian School of Business (ISB), Mohali, for the commerce students of Class XII to give them an insight into career prospects. Students went through the ISB campus to see the infrastructure and amenities at the institute. They obtained information about the courses being offered at the ISB and the admission process. DAV Public, Chandigarh A rally was organised by students of Class VIII at Sukhna Lake to highlight the importance of water. The motive was to create awareness regarding the conservation of water. A plantation drive was also carried out by students on the premises of DAV Public School, Sector 8-C. Shivalik Public, Chandigarh In a bid to break the menstrual taboo and gender discrimination and to create awareness on menstrual hygiene and the use of correct sanitary napkins, Dr Rupali from Gujarat, with her team, organised an informative talk at Shivalik Public School, Chandigarh. Girls from middle classes were made aware about of the use of sanitary napkins. TNS
