Ambala, August 17 Vijay Kumar, brother of a government schoolteacher Session Kumar Judge, who was murdered last year, and Rambir, an eyewitness, in the case, were allegedly attacked by three men in Naraingarh today. The accused have been identified as Shiv Kumar, Surjit Singh and Mohan Singh. Rambir in his complaint alleged that he was at his shop in Badagaon village when Shiv Kumar, Mohan and Surjit attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and sticks. Rambir’s security guard Mandeep, who was present at the spot came to his rescue. The trio attacked Vijay Kumar and his security person Malkit Singh saved him. After seeing the security persons, the accused fled, but threatened the duo of dire consequences in case they gave testimony in Session Kumar murder case. Rambir and Vijay were taken to the Civil Hospital, Ambala City, for treatment. While Vijay has received three injuries, Rambir has sustained two injuries. Rambir has been referred to the GMCH-32, Chandigarh, for further treatment. Vijay said, “We are being attacked repeatedly. I have sustained injury on my shoulder. They snatched my pistol. Due to rain and slippery conditions, they failed to execute their plan. The x-ray will be done on Monday. Rambir sustained injuries on his chest. Whenever date of hearing related to the murder case approaches, they attack us.” In June this year, an attempt was made to kill Rambir but EASI Suresh Kumar, who was posted as his security person was killed in the attack. A case has been registered under Sections 323, 452, 34 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code at Naraingarh police station.
