Kharar resident held with stolen batteries

On August 16, a team led by Inspector Neeraj Sarna, SHO of the Sector 3 police station, nabbed the suspect, identified as Sushil Kumar (30), a resident of Kharar, from near Rock Garden. The police said the suspect, who works as a part-time waiter at a tavern in Kharar, used to carry a food delivery bag with ‘Zomato’ written on it. He used to park his motorcycle near other two-wheelers and steal the batteries. These vendors used the batteries at their stalls for lights,” said a police official.

Chandigarh, August 17 The UT police have arrested a battery thief. His arrest led to the recovery of 31 batteries. In the recent past, there was a spate of two-wheeler battery thefts from outside the Punjab and Haryana High Court, near the Punjab and Haryana Civil Secretariat and from near government offices in Sector 9.
