Pedestrian, cyclist among 3 injured in road mishaps

Tribune News ServiceChandigarh, August 23Three persons, including a pedestrian and a cyclist, suffered injuries in separate road accidents reported from the city on Thursday. According to the police, an unknown woman pedestrian was hit by a recklessly driven motorcycle on the road dividing Sectors 28 and 29. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the suspect at the Sector 26 police station. A case has been registered against the car driver at the Sector 26 police station. The police have registered at case at the Sector 26 police station and initiated an investigation.

Chandigarh, August 23 Three persons, including a pedestrian and a cyclist, suffered injuries in separate road accidents reported from the city on Thursday. According to the police, an unknown woman pedestrian was hit by a recklessly driven motorcycle on the road dividing Sectors 28 and 29. The motorcycle was driven by Vijay Kumar, a resident of Zirakpur. The police said the woman, who is yet to be identified, was admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Sector 32 here. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the suspect at the Sector 26 police station. In another incident, a cyclist, identified as Ram Nath, a resident of Mubarkarpur village, Mohali, was hit by a car in Sector 28. The car was driven by Nitin Sehgal of Sector 38. The victim fell unconscious and was admitted to Government Multi Specialty Hospital (GMSH) in Sector 16. A case has been registered against the car driver at the Sector 26 police station. In case of a hit-and-run, a car sped away after hitting a motorcyclist near a petrol pump in Sector 7. According to the police, victim Ram Kumar, a resident of Sector 45, was riding a motorcycle when a car fled away after hitting him. The car’s registration number was noted down and the police were informed about the incident. The police have registered at case at the Sector 26 police station and initiated an investigation.
