PSPCL conducts raids to check power theft in state

Tribune News ServicePatiala, September 14In a bid to curb power theft, the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has been conducting raids throughout the state.
The PSPCL spokesman disclosed that from September 10 to 14, different teams of the PSPCL conducted raids in Sangrur and Patran divisions.
“Three teams of the PSPCL officers, SDO Bhawanigarh, SDO Suburban Sunam, and AE Gharachon, under supervision of senior Xen distribution Sangrur raided Nagra village.
The spokesman said power theft would result in increased tariff due to low revenue collection and this would put burden on honest consumers.
He said the campaign would continue in future and the PSPCL will not tolerate corrupt practices by its employees as well.
