New DSP takes charge

Kharar, September 20The newly appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Kharar, Simranjit Singh Lang, took charge of his office here on Friday. He was transferred to Kharar after the present incumbent, Gurvinder Singh, was shifted as DSP (SD-2) to Mullanpur Garibdass. Lang said he would make all efforts to restore law and order in the area. Strict action would be taken against those involved in selling drugs and intoxicants in the area, he added.
