Has a dig at Hooda for selling land to Vadra ‘for a song’ Kalka, October 11 The Congress has become habitual of indulging in corruption and scams, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said while addressing an election rally in support of BJP candidate from Kalka Latika Sharma here today. He said the Congress was a party of the corrupt as it was involved in big scams such as 2G and those pertaining to land. He said the then Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress government had acquired land at a throwaway price for Robert Vadra, son-in-law of the Congress president, who later sold it to builders at a very high price. He said what could one hope from the Congress, which praised those who were deeply involved in corruption. Rahul Gandhi went to Italy instead of campaigning for the party candidates, he said. Adityanath said the Congress had always opposed the Centre over strengthening of the armed forces by purchasing Rafael jets. He said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had stated that the abrogation of Article 370 would lead to bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir, but not even a single firecracker was burst there, leave aside major incidents. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said the Congress had not only opposed the abrogation of Article 370, but was also against the triple talaq Bill introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for women empowerment. He said the Congress did not like the policies of the Centre, which were for the betterment of the country.
