Sartaaj enthrals students

Harshbab SinghMohali, November 14Sufi singer Satinder Sartaaj made hundreds of youngsters sway to his tunes during the annual show of the Chandigarh Group of Colleges, ‘Parivartan-2019’, here last night. Starting with his famous devotional song ‘Sai’, the Sufi singer set the stage on fire with his hit numbers ‘Sajjan raaji’, ‘Meri heeriye fakiriye’, ‘Pind vall’, ‘Udariyan’ and ‘Yamaha’. Sartaaj said it was his first performance in a college. Satnam Singh Sandhu, chairman, CGC, and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, president, said the show was dedicated to the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, Punjab Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs and NRI Affairs, was the chief guest on the occasion.

Sartaaj said it was his first performance in a college. “I was excited to perform for the young crowd,” he said. Youngsters were seen enjoying the performance. Satnam Singh Sandhu, chairman, CGC, and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, president, said the show was dedicated to the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, Punjab Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs and NRI Affairs, was the chief guest on the occasion. He said the state government had been striving hard to bring back the lost glory of Punjab. The event also included robo-soccer, CAD modeling, ideathon, best-out-of-waste, ad-mad show and poster-making contest.
