Two Nigerians arrested with Rs 2.5-cr heroin

Sub-Inspector Naveen Kumar was on patrolling duty near the Sector 38-A & B roundabout at 4:30 pm yesterday. The police apprehended the suspect, Obibulu, and recovered a polythene packet containing 207 grams of heroin during checking. In another case, Sub-Inspector Sukhjinder Singh was on patrolling duty near the Sector 39-C & D turn at 5.10 pm yesterday. The patrolling party saw a foreign national coming on foot from Sector 39-C towards the road dividing Sector 39-C & D. On suspicion, the SI, along with the police party, apprehended the foreign national, identified as Azuka.

Two teams of the Sector 39 police station, under the supervision of Inspector Amanjot Singh, were constituted to nab the suspects, identified as Obibulu (31) and Azuka (38). Sub-Inspector Naveen Kumar was on patrolling duty near the Sector 38-A & B roundabout at 4:30 pm yesterday. When the police party reached near the office of the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, they saw a foreign national coming on foot towards them in a suspicious manner. The police apprehended the suspect, Obibulu, and recovered a polythene packet containing 207 grams of heroin during checking. A case has been registered against him under Section 21 of the NDPS Act. In another case, Sub-Inspector Sukhjinder Singh was on patrolling duty near the Sector 39-C & D turn at 5.10 pm yesterday. The patrolling party saw a foreign national coming on foot from Sector 39-C towards the road dividing Sector 39-C & D. On suspicion, the SI, along with the police party, apprehended the foreign national, identified as Azuka. A total of 211 grams of heroin was recovered from him. A case has been registered against him under Section 21 of the NDPS Act.
