Security guard of a hospital was brutally beaten up for stopping people from crowding

Sunder allowed two persons from the victim`s family to enter the hospital as the administration had issued strict instruction regarding crowding inside wards and the emergency.

Just for doing his job of stopping people from crowding a security guard at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh was brutally beaten up.   

On Sunday night, security guard Shyam Sunder was on duty at GMCH when an accident victim was rushed to the facility. The accident victim was brought to the hospital from the Ram Darbar area of the union territory. 

Sunder allowed two persons from the victim`s family to enter the hospital as the administration had issued strict instruction regarding crowding inside wards and the emergency.

The accident victim`s family allegedly took offence to the guard`s behaviour and started assaulting him. The accused allegedly thrashed the security guard and dragged him out of the emergency. 

The security guard was allegedly brutally assaulted by the accused until he lost consciousness. Sunder was then taken to the hospital where he was put on a ventilator. On Sunday night, the security guard succumbed to his injuries. The police registered a case of murder in relation to the case.
