Covid-19 update: Chandigarh tally reached 600 cases with 12 new cases on Tuesday

The jump from 500 to 600 cases in UT has taken place in just six days.

Chandigarh recorded 12 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, taking the tally to 600. The number of active cases is 144. The new patients belong to different areas of the city.

The UT has so far seen 10 Covid deaths including 2 on Tuesday. The Chandigarh residents have been identified as a 50-year-old man from Dhanas and a 52-year-old woman from Sector 46.

A total of 23 patients in the city were also discharged on Tuesday after they defeated the virus. The jump from 500 to 600 cases in UT has taken place in just six days.
