Chandigarh MC committee okays dog park in Sector 42

Tribune News ServiceChandigarh January 29To facilitate pet dogs of residents the Finance and Contract Committee (F&CC) of the Municipal Corporation (MC) today gave approval to the setting up of a dog park within Mango Park in Sector 42 at an estimated cost of Rs49 lakh. In its meeting held here today the committee approved the Budget estimates of Rs443 crore under the capital head and Rs1184 crore under the revenue head for the financial year 2021-22. The F&CC accorded approval to renewal of annual maintenance contract for both the HPTTL vehicles at an estimated cost of Rs13 lakh. The members also accorded approval to dispose of coconut shells mechanically and by signing MoU thereof under the Swachh Bharat Mission. The committee members also discussed and decided that permissions may be given to brass and pipe owners on reasonable licence fee at their respective places.

In its meeting held here today the committee approved the Budget estimates of Rs443 crore under the capital head and Rs1184 crore under the revenue head for the financial year 2021-22. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Ravi Kant Sharma Mayor and attended by KK Yadav Commissioner and members of the committee including Anil Kumar Dubey Rajesh Kumar Sunita Dhawan Vinod Aggarwal Satish Kainth and officials of the MC. Members of the committee discussed other various important agenda items in detail and accorded approval for the provision of ATM machines at both petrol pump sites of the MC in Industrial area Phase II and Sector 51-A and setting up of the pollution check centre at both the fuel stations by calling tenders/e-bids to generate revenue. The committee considered and approved the replacement of all cables from turntable to working cage and wiring for outriggers of the HPTTL stationed at fire station Mani Majra at an estimated cost of Rs9.22 lakh. The F&CC accorded approval to renewal of annual maintenance contract for both the HPTTL vehicles at an estimated cost of Rs13 lakh. The members also accorded approval to the agenda item regarding amendment in terms and conditions of the Night Food Street Sector 14 Chandigarh and also approved terms and conditions for the e-auction of 37 sites for the sale of coconut water and water melon. Regarding fixation of rent of commercial shops of 13 villages transferred to the MC the members were of the view that a sub-committee may be constituted to conduct survey and final decision may be taken in this regard after their study report. The members also accorded approval to dispose of coconut shells mechanically and by signing MoU thereof under the Swachh Bharat Mission. The committee members also discussed and decided that permissions may be given to brass and pipe owners on reasonable licence fee at their respective places.
