85K birds culled since Jan 22 says Mohali DC

A culling drive was initiated after confirmation of bird flu cases at Alpha Royal and Evergreen poultry farms which ended today. Apart from the birds being culled 125 tonne of feed and about 3000 eggs were destroyed during the week-long operation. In addition a large quantity of manure at these farms was mixed in the soil by digging deep holes in the ground. Alpha Royal and Evergreen poultry farms have been sealed for three months.

In addition a large quantity of manure at these farms was mixed in the soil by digging deep holes in the ground. Now sanitisation of the three farms is underway. Alpha Royal and Evergreen poultry farms have been sealed for three months. During this period sanitisation of the premises will be done every 15 days.
